Valentine’s Day reminds me a bit of New Year’s Eve — the expectations are always so high but the truth is, without extensive planning, the night will probably end either in a local restaurant that you’ve been to 100 times, or on the couch.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing with going to a restaurant that you know you love or staying at home with your significant other, but maybe it’s time to jazz things up this year.

Taking the time to make a new tradition for Valentine’s Day shows that you care about keeping the love alive! If you’re near a city, I’ll admit that you’re at an advantage when it comes to following the advice in this article. There’s always more new and exciting activities in a city, considering how densely populated they are.

Below are some of my best ideas for a fun night out that you should try ASAP:


Eventbrite has really taken a turn for the best over the last few years. Back in the day, eventbrite was really only useful for grabbing tickets to the upcoming local concert. Today, they’ve become your one-stop-shop for all nearby activities.

When you first go on the website, they have categories for you to choose from such as: Food & Drink, Business, Sports & Fitness, Music and many more. You can even choose the timeline that you’d like to find an activity in, like Today, This Weekend, Valentine’s Day and more.

They really tailor their search engines to suit your needs!
