When you picture the Richest County in America — what comes to mind? At least for me, it looks something like Beverly Hills, where every house has expansive swimming pools, grand pianos in each room, and is surrounded by a 20ft iron gate. This county is probably in California or outside of New York City.

The reality is much different. You should picture bustling suburbs where you can either experience a “downtown” feel or drive 20 minutes and have so much land that you can’t even see your neighbor from your front porch.

I know the area quite well, and it’s definitely a place you want to be. In terms of education, U.S. News shares how this county also has the #1 public high school in the entire country, called Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. As you can guess from the name, the curriculum centers around STEM classes.

If you’re more interested in job opportunities, this county has every role you could imagine at its fingertips. Not only are there plentiful government jobs that are typically higher paying and secure even in economic downturns, but there are also many major companies with their HQs located nearby, according to Ranker.com. More job opportunities typically means more wealth for a household!

Some of the most…
